Call for Proposals: Toward Net-Zero Homes and Communities program

Natural Resources Canada is looking to fund innovative projects to support creative energy efficiency initiatives for the Canadian residential sector. Titled Toward Net-Zero Homes and Communities, the program is seeking proposals for projects that explore new ideas to improve the energy efficiency of homes and reduce residential greenhouse gas emissions. There are three program streams: (1) addressing barriers to adoption of energy efficient technologies, (2) capacity building in support of net-zero energy ready codes, and (3) facilitating home energy labelling and disclosure to encourage deep energy retrofits. Canadian academic institutions are an eligible recipient group.

Projects focused on research commercialization or workforce development are likely best suited toward the outlined eligibility.

Proposals must be received by Natural Resources Canada by September 7th.
