CPE at True Blue Expo

On Thursday, March 6, Climate Positive Energy was pleased to exhibit at University of Toronto’s True Blue Expo as part of True Blue Impact Day, which brought together a vibrant ecosystem of startups, accelerators, community partners, and university leaders.

Organized by U of T Entrepreneurship, this year’s True Blue Expo was the largest yet, with over 70 exhibitors, including 45 U of T startups, featured throughout the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus. The CPE team was pleased to share updates on U of T’s multidisciplinary climate research with students, founders, investors, mentors, and partners who stopped by our table.

As part of the day, the Desjardins Startup Prize Pitch Competition saw six early-stage and five late-stage startups pitched to a panel of judges, competing for over $100,000 in prizes to accelerate and scale their ventures. Also at True Blue Expo, U of T Chancellor and Dragons’ Den Canada Investor, Dr. Wes Hall, shared advice with entrepreneurs, and U of T President Meric Gertler and VP, Research and Innovation, and Strategic Initiatives, Leah Cowen, shared the significance and impact of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto during their remarks.

True Blue Impact Day exemplifies U of T’s commitment to empowering the next generation of innovators.
